The Grinch meets Matilda in Snow Way!, a hearty, hilarious tale about a stolen snow day.

Big brother Max and his kindergartener sister Maizy are ecstatic about last night’s blizzard.  The whole family (except their curmudgeonly cat) is overjoyed at the prospect of a magical, musical snow day.  But when Principal Glump shows up with an enormous bundle of remote learning assignments, their dog tries to save the day by shredding the homework packets.  Can Max and Maizy salvage their snow day without flunking out of Avery Elementary?

This 5,000 word beginning chapter book is filled with many childhood favorites:  dogs, cats, soccer, horses, snow, and lots of chocolate chips.  Fair warning:  it also includes bad dad jokes, homework, and {shudder} remote learning.  But the chocolate chips more than make up for all that.

The story was written for children ages 6-9, but teachers everywhere will cheer for the return of snow days and vouch for the natural learning that happens when adults get out of the way and let kids play.
